As of August 3, 2019, the United States Patent and Trademark Office REQUIRES foreign-domiciled applicants and registrants to have a U.S. licensed attorney when filing a Trademark Application.

Although foreign-domiciled applicants are not required to use a U.S. attorney to file a Copyright application it is recommended that a U.S. attorney be consulted for the following:

Written Works - This can include books, articles, blogs, and screenplays.

Musical & Dramatic Works - This can include songs, plays, and choreography.

Artistic Works - This can include photographs, paintings, and sculptures.

Software - This can include computer programs (systems and applications).
